- Is there a setup fee for new websites? If so, why?
Yes, there’s an initial one-time setup fee and the amount depends on the package that you select from our pricing page.
- When signing up for the Quick Start, Professional or Enterprise Plan, do we have to sign a contract?
Yes, you have to sign a “contract” to ensure that you know what you’re getting. But, yes, you cancel your monthly recurring services at anytime, and if you’ve been with Xtendly for twelve or more months, when you cancel your service, you can take all website content, blog articles, graphic designs, webpage layouts and rendered HTML/CSS. If you want to reproduce the website, that is also allowed. However, we do not provide the underlying WordPress or CloudCannon CMS, plugin codes and database files. What we can provide is a WordPress eXtended RSS (WXR) file for your website’s content (posts and pages) to be imported to another WordPress setup. But, if your Xtendly subscription has been active for less than twelve months, our Terms of Service do not allow you to reuse any of the content, images, graphics, white papers, blog articles or any other elements of the website without unless the Terms of Service are fulfilled. At the end of the day, it’s our goal to deliver wow-like service and results so that you never wanna leave.
- Why do we have to pay you for a monthly recurring fee?
The biggest reason why most people want a new website or to fix their current one is because it’s not generating any awareness, traffic, conversions or inbound leads for them. To effectively get the results you want, every month, we provide you with ongoing “small” website edits and fixes, execution of modern marketing methods like SEO internet marketing services and other marketing campaign “options” to accomplish your goals. Without this, many companies out there never achieve the online marketing results they need to grow their business.
- What are the payment terms?
100% of the initial one-time setup fees are due upfront (Net 0). The monthly recurring billing for fees for the next month’s software and services begin every 30 days thereafter.
- What documentation do customers get to know what they’re getting?
Just as if we were all part of the same global company, we follow what we consider “normal” business best practices for companies that want to survive such as open collaboration, teamwork and of course, documentation. Xtendly customers love the types of documentation they receive from us like their Customer Order Form, Initial Website Design Surveys, Statements-of-Work, Project Acceptance, Monthly Conversion Reports and Wireframe Design documentation. As a modern and efficient business, most of this is delivered using Google Docs or through our cloud-based Marketing Automation and CRM software for real-time collaboration. We’re also addicted to using our Project Management Software called Teamwork to keep everybody on-track.
- What other fees are there?
As the saying goes, there’s no “one-size fits all” for everyone and to be upfront, 80% of the fees that you may incur are published on the pricing page of our website. In the other 20% of cases, we need more information to properly scope and tailor a more “Custom” Solution with a fixed fee to eliminate surprises. In all cases, our customers always get a Statement-of-Work. Any other low cost web design agency out there that doesn’t provide you with fixed fee services, may provide you with a lot heartaches and long sleepless nights.
- Why is there a page limit on the number of pages included in the Quick Start, Professional and Enterprise Plans?
Our goal is to do good business and we plan to be around for the long-haul. In the event that a company like Google wants us to build a website for them that includes thousands of pages of videos, we would hate to lose money at the expense of the future sustainability of our company and our loyal customers. As you’ve probably seen already, we’re happy to build your website with any number of pages and our fees on our pricing page are pretty darn good.
- What results can I expect and when?
Other companies promise pipe dreams but having done this for some of the fastest growing software companies, results can vary to be honest and we deliver reality for our customers. Are there immediate results from a new website, email marketing and social media? While we can’t make guarantee results, you can bet that we’ll ensure that you have the best ability to get the results you’re looking for. Our customers get pretty darn excited in the beginning but the biggest potential results are a compounding result of a multi-channel strategy (yes, we will help you with that) and from our experience, REAL sustainable results will start to appear in approximately 90 days from the launch of your campaigns.

The turnaround time for our website design service would largely depend on the complexity of your project, how much content is readily available and getting customer approvals in a timely manner. That being said, initial website design and development timeframes can be done in as little as 10 to 90 days but the average is 30 days. Again, I’d be wary of any “full-service” provider that promises you a website in anything less, if you want it to look good.
- What involvement do clients have in the entire process?
Collaboration is the key to success of any project. If there’s one thing we’re not good at, it’s mind-reading. Your design project always starts by discussing customer needs and important project details. Throughout the project, we encourage our customers to contribute ideas, samples, and color hues that would in turn create a unique identity and brand.
- Can customers make changes to the website on their own?
Yes, if you wish. We will train you on how to make changes yourself but every customer that’s on our WordPress Maintenance, Quick Start, Professional or Enterprise Plan get’s our Premier Support Level in which we’re happy to make unlimited “small fixes” for you. This is part of the on-going monthly service. “Small fixes” are defined as anything that takes 30 minutes or less.
- What training do customers get?
Prior to go-live, customers receive a combination of elearning video and live virtual initial training. Post go-live, we’ll provide you with full documentation in our Customer Success Center.
- How much does “custom” web designing services cost?
For custom web design and development, your website’s total cost will depend greatly on the number of pages required, and the number of add-ons, website features and integrations that you want. As your website is being developed, you can choose to add more pages and more functions for an affordable fixed add-on fee. The majority of “custom” website design service fees are on our pricing page but can be subject to further scoping.
